Just got back from a three week tour of the United Kingdom and we had a complete blast. We spent most of it with our angel dust snorting colleagues in We Are Scientists, and owe them and their entourage a Dallas-sized "Thank you" for all they did for us! We love you! We are likewise indebted to the many kind hearts that put us up and up with us when we were in need of a place to sleep! Many good, good people, thank you all!!

And now, to re-iterate the latest and gratest news in an enzyme packed list form:

  • Brand new 2 Song 7 inch out on Flameshovel Records! Order now!
  • Brand new 5 song 12 inch called The Hann-Byrd Ep out on Comedy Minus One June 3rd!
  • Brand new Sub Pop full length LP/CD out August 5th called Bits!
  • Full US tour in June with the mighty, scarily excellent Scottish band Frightened Rabbit!!!!

We are playing tonight in New York City, at this dude's apartment, loft space, should be sweeet:

132 West Third Street, Second Floor. Doors are at 8pm and it's $7. We're playing with Cause Co-Motion!, Home Blitz, and Cheeky! Also, May 10th we will be playing in Chelsea at the Red Door for the last Narrator show of all time!!! Czech the shows page!

My homies and homos, listen up again, slight change o' planz...

Our esteemed label, Sub Pop, finally realized it was a bit of an overwhelming undertaking in their attempt to release 366 records by 366 new bands in the 366 days of the year of our lord, 2008. The powers that be subsequently, and rightly, determined that our full length would serve everyone better with an August 5th release date. So mark your calendars, just three days shy of 08/08/08 comes BITS, BITZ!

More change of planz, we scrapped our SXSW visit this year - so so psyched!! - and are unreasonably excited for our first visit to the UK in almost four years, when we take our infamous broz the We Are Scientists over to that crowded island for a few solid weeks of sold out shows in April!!!

ALSO - our old and dear friend Jon Solomon, previously of My Pal God fame and the giver of legendary house shows at his parent's Ice Storm-esque modern manse has a new record label called Comedy Minus One which will be putting out a 12 inch ep of ours in early June tentatively titled Hann-Byrd. It’ll have four new songs and a superfluous remix, cannot WAT!!!

Oh yeah, we also changed the release date on the Flameshovel 7 inch to April 29th – to coincide with the 16th anniversary of the LA Riots. Peace in LA!

01-17-08

THIS IS THE REAL FOR ALL OUR REAL WIGGAZ AND BITZEZ!!!!

Listen up! We finally finished recording our album, and it's all mixed and mastered. It drops Tuesday June 3rd, and it's called BITS.

To tide us, if not yinz, over, on April 15, our brethren of the green collar at Flameshovel Records will be releasing a 7 inch single of two brand new songs that we're very psyched about!!

Until then, we lay low getting ready to tour our azzez off in the second half of the year, but look for us in Portland, ME on March 11th, and of course in Austin, TX at the SXSW Music conference.

10-24-07

We are in the midst of recording for our poorly conceived, half baked double album, and thus have put a moratorium on playing shows to try to concentrate on the whole undertaking. HOWEVER, there are certain occasions for which we will emerge out of the confines of our disgusting, rat infested basement practice space, and one of those happens to be when there is the chance to play a show with PYLON!!?!!?!!? YES!!!

We are irrationally excited to be playing this show with one of our favorite bands from Athens, GA. Please come out to show your love for them on Thursday, November 8th, at the Williamsburg Music Hall (??????) when they make their first NYC appearance in a very, very long time.

What summer's almost over! BOUT TIME!!! We have been laying kind of low recently. Dan went to Maine for his dad's birthday, Mike took off to explore the vast wilds of the PAC-NW, and Adam got flattened by a semi somewhere in Greenpoint. But, onward we trudge...

Two shows next week before we really go on sabbatical to finish up the writing of a completely unnecessary overabundance of songs. We're going to seriously bunker down, as we begin initial recording with our good buddy Chad Matheny aka Emperor X at the bow in September.

06-07-07

The age of the cyborgs is upon us!!!! To celebrate that fact, along with our sad summer solstice, we will be playing an entirely free show outdoors, somehow, on the corner of N. 8th and Bedford in Brooklyn's coolest new neighborhood, Williamsburg, as part of the Make Music NY Festival. June 21st is the date, of course, and we'll be playing with Cheeseburger and Best Fwends! It starts around 7, I think. Come!!!

04-24-07

Heeeeeeeej GNOWWWW!!!!

We have been holed up in our practice space for the past month now working on some new traxxx but in the meantime, we're going to be appearing in the coming weeks and months with, among others, The Clipse, T.I., Lupe Fiasco, and De La Soul. Yes, this is no joke!

As always check the shows page for the devilish details!

01-02-07

Happy New Year everybody! James Brown is Dead!! RIP JB!!!!

Wanted to let yinzers know that we recently worked with Baeble Music to film our show a few weeks ago at North Six in Brooklyn. You can view a song from the show by visiting the Baeble site, clicking the "Videos" option at the top, and finding our band in the list. You can also buy the entire show - either as a DVD or high-quality download - for $8.99. Check it!!!

HOLY SH!T!!! Dude, where you been? Christmas isn't Christmas! And no one reads this shit anymore, websites are so 1996...

That said, Merry Christmas to all, and we mean it, no Hannukah or Kwanza here, just pure brittled and decaying candycanes and mistletoe. We just got off a fun week of fake touring with our famous buddies the We Are Scientists, in which we glazed over the eyes of teenage boys and girls all across the Northeast's most unforgiving cities.

We will be heading out with our cousins Thunderbirds are Now! for the 3 week "Backwards Compatibility" tour in late Jan/early Feb.

Till then, we rot. See you in '07.

A lil message from the suits at Sub Pop:

"If you purchase Remember the Night Parties on www.subpop.com through October 10th, we will include a CDR of Oxford Collapse's classic EP Live in the Metropolis of Kalamazoo featuring 1. Decking the Classics 2. Empty Fields/Volunteers/Proud Mary (medley) 3. The Boys Go Home - along with stickers and buttons!!!"

Wanted to point out that our record release party is October 7th at the Glass Lands Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It's a loft-type space, and we'll be having a sweet dance party afterwards, dj'ed by our budd Jayson Green. Our tourmates Chin Up Chin Up will be playing as will our best budds CaUSE co-MOTION! who will play at 10pm sharp, so do not be late! A lot of people (ie: 2) have been asking, so the address for Glass Lands is 289 Kent Avenue, between South 1st and South 2nd streets. It used to be called the Glasshouse, but they found a bigger place nearby, and changed the name.

Once again, thats:

Glass Lands Gallery
289 Kent Avenue (between So. 1st and So. 2nd)
Brooklyn, NY 11211

Everyone please come and give us a hug or a handshake!!??!

09-05-06

We just got back from a one off with Def jam stalwarts The Roots, an unlikely combination perhaps, but we had a blast nonetheless. We played freshman orientation at an obscure college buried somewhere in a corner of Rhode Island, on a Sunday afternoon in a darkened gymnasium. It was our first chance to play a bunch of songs from our new album, and we can confidently say that the new songs are ripe for violent moshing.

Tour dates for the fall are up on our shows page; we are looking forward to playing with old and new friends, including lots of dates with Chin Up, Chin Up and The Joggerz!

In other news, in the next few weeks we'll be shooting a music video for "Please Visit Your National Parks" at a sheep farm in upstate New York. For heavy rotation!

See yinz in the pit!

07-06-06

Did we make it, are we back?

We’re back.

Smile frens. Our web domain was temporarily taken over by an overzealous group of rogue pre-teens trying to sour our name by dispelling the claims put forth in Roy Scheider’s commentary track on the Blue Thunder DVD. Luckily, we’ve managed to reclaim it for the next few months before it turns over permanently into a business venture with the teens in which we offer the service of putting audio commentary tracks on tape for a small fee so you can listen to them at your pleasure. A great idea, we think.

Check it out! We spent 10 whirlwind days at Headgear Studios in Brooklyn with the bubbly and competent John Agnello, and the record is DONE. It’s set for an October 10th release on Sub Pop CD and LP and it’s called Remember the Night Parties. 11 songs, all brand new!

We are lying low this summer, before we hit the road again in the fall. Mike is going to Puerto Rico for some reason in July, Adam to New Mexico in August, and Dan to Kansas after that! If you think it’s hot, obviously we want it hotter. To all the white hats, we’re playing on Martha’s Vineyard on July 22nd, see you on the ferry!

05-26-06

Whoah, it’s been a minute! We’ve spent the past two months working on the songs for our next full length, which has a tentative release date of Oct. 24th this year. We are heading into the studio in Brooklyn, NY in a few weeks with the mighty John Agnello at the helm. We have a bunch of new songs we’ve been working on, and are itching to get started!

We’ll be playing around NYC a bit this summer, and regionally, including a show on Martha’s Vineyard of all places! We are excited to be working with Mahmood at Flower Booking, as we plan to tour throughout the Fall, hopefully hitting up our homeland, and Europe before it’s over.

Shout out to Part Chimp and The Joggers! We had a serious and literal blast with those sweet sweet dudes on our tour in March and the first part of April! We missin’ yinz guys!

03-08-06

Oh man, lotsa news to report! I think first and foremost we are psyched to announce that we are now a part of the Sub Pop Records family. Wait, is it a family? They've certainly made us feel like it is! They'll be putting out our next full length, sometime in the Fall. We're excited! We'll be laying low after our upcoming tour in order to finish writing and then record most likely in the late Spring.

A lil tour starts tomorrow, in NYC. We're going out with an excellent band of thuggs from England called Part Chimp. Monitor Records is releasing their record over here, and we are just stoked to be able to see them play every night.

We'll have copies of our new 7 inch on tour, two new songs! Otherwise, the best way to get it is from Version City Records directly. It's $5 ppd, $6 to Canada, $7 to the rest of the world. Paypal to info (at) versioncityrecords (dot) com!

We also have a track coming out soon on a lovely comic book/compilation out of Pittsburgh called Unicorn Mountain. Our friend Jen did a nice lil piece of artwork for it, it's sweet!

02-15-06

Listen up! Our lil party we are having this weekend is happening at Fontanas in Chinatown, not The Syrup Room. The address is 105 Eldridge between Grand and Broome, in the basement. It's gonna be awesome! Come out! Six bucks only and freaking other bands playing are Menegaur, Centipede E'est, and CaUSE co-MOTION! Friday Feb. 17th! We'll have limited edition copies of our brand new 7 inch out on Version City!

02-02-06

Whoah! Recently returned to lovely and unseasonably warm New York City from a brief tour with the wonderful We Are Scientists. We had a great time hanging with them, and playing a bunch of sweet shows. It all ended with an onstage fire at Maxwells and the evacuation of the club. Somehow a fitting end to the hott times we endured during our week together.

Got some seriously excellent shows forthcoming through February and March! We’re playing with so many friends and awesome bands, too many to mention here, just click on the yellow buffalo for the deeeets dudes!

We’re having a lil party of our own on Friday Feb. 17th in Brooklyn, NY, to celebrate the release of our 7 inch coming out on the legendary Version City Records! Come out, it’s at the Syrup Room in Bushwick, and will surely be a blast, playing with our straight up serious bros caUSE co-MOTION!, Centipede E’est, and Meneguar!

Thanks buddies for all the good times! More Big Fun to come!

12-22-05

HEJ FELLAZZ!!!

We are closing out the year in style, by bringing all our equipment out to Mike’s mom’s house on Long Island and storing it in her lovely and carpeted basement, and taking a few weeks off. We recently got back from some dates with our buds Centipede E’est from Pittsburgh. They are a brutal and awesome no bullshit rock band, you’d do yourself a disservice not checking them out. Sweethearts if there ever was.

Speaking of WAS we’re touring next month with our good buds the famous We Are Scientists! A bunch of shows from our native NYC out to the barren tundra of the Midwest! You can find all these hot details on the shows page. Hope to see you! After that, we’re touring for three solid weeks in March with UK sensations Part Chimp! So cool!

R.I.P. Joe Strummer, D. Boon. Punk rock changed our lives…

10-25-05

Please come to the Halloween party we are playing on 10/31 at The Cakeshop on the LES. It's FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Details on the shows page, and it's a costume party! We are also playing a normal show there this Saturday evening, the 29th, with good friends The New Black and Ho-Ag!

Finally thoroughly updated this website. Lots of new photos from the past year are up, as well as mp3s from our past few releases, and updated press from our latest and gratest record.

We will be heading out on the road real soon. Dates with the crowd pleasing Chromatics in November, and then some shows with our buds Centipede E'est, an excellent and honest rock band from Pittsburgh. Do not miss! Also, we'll be at the Bowery Ballroom next week with our Canadian brethren, the famous Constantines! Make it real, make it happen!

09-12-05

CMJ this week. We're playing some fun shows and parties with friends and family. We've helped put together the extravaganza at the venerable Palace Tavern in Greenpoint this Friday the 16th, with our pals Oakley Hall and the Constantines, so try to make it out to that if nothing else! $5, no badges, absurdly cheap drinks. Check shows page for the fine print...

We have the vinyl version of A Good Ground in our hands. Available by emailing us directly, or from Community B Records .

We are heading up to Pop Montreal at the end of the month, October we’ll be doing some fun college shows, and November it looks like we’ll be hitting the road for a few weeks. We have a bunch of new songs we’re working on which we’ll unleash upon deaf ears before you know it. We also had fun the other day on our pal Tedward’s radio show, playing some rare traxx and drinking some vile malt liquor. You can hear it archived here .

07-26-05

Whoah. We just got back to NYC from our tour and had a total blast touring with Constantines from Toronto, and The Narrator from Chicago. We want to thank all the awesome people we met in the beautiful USA and say that we will be back to you soon, look for us! You can still read all the sordid details of our adventures in our updated weekly tour diary, at Prefix Mag.

You can buy our new album A Good Ground at your local record store. If they don’t have it, tell them they should stock it. You can also buy it from us, as well as some sweet new shirts, by just emailing us. The vinyl version of the album got delayed, of course, at the plant, but it should be in in the next week. You can definitely get a copy of that by emailing us, and we’ll have it on the road.

We have a slew of NYC shows coming up through August, check our shows page.

Our good bud, the inimitable Doug Mosurak will be releasing a 7 inch of two new-ish songs on his label Version City Records. Limited edition of 500 copies, all hand silk screened and beautiful. Should be available in October.

06-15-05

Greetings from beautiful and remote Couer D'Alene, Idaho. Tour has been a blast so far, and just wanted to say that we are doing a weekly tour diary thing for Prefix Mag. Check it out.

05-02-05

Summer tour dates are up! And we will certainly fill in those blank dates with real dates shortly. West Coast with The Narrator in June! Two weeks with the Constantines in July!

Also, our new album A Good Ground has a new release date: July 12, 2005. It got pushed back a month because Kanine Records will now be distributed by Fontana, which is hopefully a good thing.

04-20-05

Yes!

Had an awesome time playing Bryn Mawr College last weekend with pals Cause Co-motion! Thanks so much to all the kids who came out and danced. You charmed our socks off. We’re playing again with those boys at Barnard College this Sunday April 24th. Come out, it’s free…

A Good Ground is being released June 7th in the USA. CD on Kanine Records, LP on Community B Records!

We will be hitting the road for five or six weeks in late May – mid July. Dates should we up soon, but we are definitely touring the west coast with The Narrator, an awesome band from Chicago.

04-02-05

The record is done, out the door, we will hopefully have it back in a month and it's supposedly going to come out in June sometime. It's called A Good Ground, twelve songs. Excited about it at this point...We will be touring the USA for the month of June and a little into July, and again next Fall. Get in touch if you want to hook us up with a date!

Had a blast in Austin for SXSW, and the way down there and back, met a lot of new wonderful people. We managed to kill the windshield wipers on the new van, but they are now fixed and unstoppable. Speaking of, our show with buddies Cause Co-motion! at Bryn Mawr got re-scheduled due to possibly the torrential rains today and a lack of electricity at the venue. April 16th is the new date!

We have some shows coming up in Brooklyn in the next few weeks. April 12th a free show at the first free pizza place Alligator Lounge with our good friend Chad Matheny and his band Emperor X whose new record Central Hug/Friend Army/Fractal Dunes (and the Dreams that Resulted)is incredible. It's the record release party for it I think, and also playing are pals Professor Murder and Alessandra from Tomorrow's Friend. It should be a fun night so try to make it out if you're around! The following week, April 19th, we play Southpaw with An Albatross and Trouble Everyday which should be a solid night as well...see you soon!

02-28-05

We wrapped up recording for our new record this weekend and will be spending the next couple weeks mixing. We are trying to get it out by early summer, so it's going quickly. We are very happy with it at this stage.

We are playing live on the air this Thursday, March 3rd, at WBAR, Columbia University's radio station. There will also be an mp3 available of the show after the fact. After that, we head out for ten days to SXSW with a bunch of dates on the way down and back.

In other OxC family news, our accountant and interim bassist Mike Henry got engaged this weekend, so congratulations go out to him. Two words: BACHELOR PARTY.

01-31-05

Unfortunately we got snowed out of our two shows last weekend due to the blizzard of '05 - which in more than one way reminded us a lot of the Blizzard of '96 (meets This Heat). We want to re-schedule though and head up to our home away from home, Boston, MA.

Playing a show at our favorite place to play in NYC this week - Martini Red on Staten Island. Definitely worth the $7 toll to drive out there. We will be playing mostly new songs too, as we will be recording at the end of the month.

Also purchasing a new van - deep blue 1992 Chevy conversion complete with tv, nintendo, and electric sofa. GRAT

01-04-05

Wow. 2005. Can’t believe it’s been twenty years since Witness changed the course of both cinema and the plight of the Amish simultaneously and forever. We rang in the new year by writing 40 or so new songs which are all under a minute, something that’s never been done before!

Work is commencing on an album we are recording in February and hope to have out in June, yeah right. We will be playing out a few select dates, Czech the shows page – we’ll be in Boston in a few weeks. After the record’s done we will be heading out in March for a week or so as we make our trip down to the over-hyped and equally soul-crushing monstrosity that is SXSW. Why, you ask? Because we haven’t learned a thing.

On a tragic note, our van died on our jaunt to DC at the beginning of last month. A rod blew a hole in the engine on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. A full eulogy page will be up shortly containing a photo gallery and testimonials from those that knew it. The van will be missed.

RIP the van.

11-27-04

FINALLY! We got our HTML For Idiots book out and sort of figured out how to update, so there's some new pics up on the photos page and an updated sounds page. We will make it prettier shortly.

Heading out for a few days next weekend with Baltimore-based band Two if By Sea, check the shows page for info.

11-6-04

Just a quick update...we are still alive, we're playing at Tommy's Tavern in Brooklyn on Thursday, Nov. 18th, for a pre-Thanksgiving bash. Looks like we are heading out on a mini mini-tour the first weekend or so of December, which will bring us back to Boston, down to D.C., and some points in between.

Tomorrow we are going out to the country to shoot some footage for a video for "Proofreading" a song available on our new 7-inch, which we now have available. We've just been working on some new tracks for our next record, which we tentatively plan to start recording in January, we'll see if that happens.

Redsox in '08!

9-9-04

Thanks so much to all our friends who came out to the Bowery Ballroom last night - we had a great time. Our trip overseas was really a blast. We got to play a bunch of great shows, and met a lot of wonderful people. We got a little live review in the NME this week as well - check it out here.

We are looking forward to Autumn, and we have some shows coming up that we are really excited about: Rye Coalition, Enon, Oneida, Travis Morrison, Chinese Stars…and lots more to come!

Our 7-inch coming out on Birmingham UK’s Discoloration should be available in the next two weeks, the test pressings are in the mail! It’s called Songs for the Singers of Panthers and we are really psyched about it. Our Swedish friend Daniel Eskils did a great job with the artwork on it (apparently he’s now making a pair of sneakers based on the design too) and our good buddies Nathan and Spencer are putting it out, so c’mon people, it’s a real labor of love. 750 copies, handnumbered!

8-18-04

We are heading to the UK next week for a bunch of shows in London, Birmingham, and Nottingham. Please come by if you are in the area and say hello, we are psyched. Check the shows page for more info.

We spent the weekend recording a song for our buddy Craig Finn’s (of the Hold Steady/LifterPuller) project entitled Crisp Songs. It will be available exclusively on the web in the coming months on emusic. We recorded a brand new song called “The Boys Go Home” and we think it turned out nicely.

We’ll be back in September, playing some fun shows in NYC and Princeton, stay tuned! And Listen to Night Rally, Boston’s, and possibly the world’s greatest new band.

7-01-04

We just got back from our US tour. Seriously, we had such a great time, played with some great bands, some terrible bands, and made some hott new friends. Thanks so much to everyone who helped us out, gave us a floor to crash on, bought us fast food, and let us shower in their disgusting bathrooms. Our van held up remarkably well - only a few pieces fell off, most notably the tv antenna which blew off in high winds in New Mexico, and the passenger side running board left in a parking lot in Kent, Ohio. We are looking forward to hitting the road again once more before the years over, so maybe you'll see us again soon.

We got our 12-inch in! We will have it available at shows, and it will be available in certain record stores in NYC. Only 500 pressed, get ‘em before they hit the bargain binz! We’re still waiting on our UK 7-inch which hopefully should be available in a month or so. Since people have been asking how they can order stuff, we are going to put up an easy to fill out order form somewhere on the site, but until then, just send us an email and we’ll hook it up.

We’re playing one show in NYC this Saturday July 3rd at Rothko, and then taking a few weeks off, as one of our members will be out of town. Look for us everywhere in August, though, before it looks like we head to the UK for a week at the end of the month. Happy 4th of July, Go see Spiderman 2, the most controversial movie of the summer!

5-22-04

We leave for tour in little over a week, we're getting everything ready to go. We got some t-shirts finally, and a lot more pins. Come see us wherever you live!

When we roll into Florida on June 23rd we're psyched to be recording a 7-inch for the Disco Mariscos label. That should be out sometime in November. Also on the horizon look for the 12-inch remix of "Melting the Ice Queen" which should be out in a month or so, which has a remix done by Andrew Prinz of Mahogany as well as two new songs on it. ALSO look for our UK 7-inch coming out on Discoloration sometime later in the summer, also featuring three new songs, which we recorded at Junkyard Studios in Brooklyn a few weeks ago, and we're really happy with how it turned out.

It looks like we will be going over to England in late August to play some shows and a festival or two, more details on that soon...

4-29-04

Thanks to everyone who came out to our record release party this week. We had a great time, and thanks to all the bands that played as well.

Our album is out now, and available at your local record store, online at insound and amazon and places like that.

Our tentative tour schedule for June is up on the shows page. Some dates are unconfirmed, if you live in any of those cities, and want to help out, please let us know!

3-30-04

We're playing with Rye Coalition this Friday, April 2nd at Uncle Joe's in Jersey City, and next Wednesday April 7th at North Six with The Detachment Kit and We Ragazzi. We'd love to see you!

Our album comes out next week, and is already available at most of the regular stores in New York City. Our record release party is happening Monday April 26th at the Knitting Factory Tap Bar, with friends Cause Co-Motion and Tomorrow's Friend. Should be fun.

3-5-04

Friends,

Lots of shows coming up - check the shows page. We're heading out for a very brief stint to Texas and back, for SXSW, so might be in your neck of the woods.

In April we will be recording a 7-inch for a new British label called Discoloration, which should be out in June. We are currently putting together our US tour, which will take us all around the country for a month. If you would like to have us in your town, please get in touch!

Czech out the mp3s available from our new album on the sounds page!

1-30-04

Happy Birthday Mike Pace.

Thanks so much to everyone who helped out on our little excursions this past month. We had a great time and played with some great bands. We are planning on laying low in the month of February, but will be back out and about again in March, gearing up for SXSW.

Check the photos page for some new pics, taken by our best friend Brooke in Atlanta. Also, we put up some medium-quality streaming trax from our album, on the sounds page. Downloadable versions coming soon, though you can easily take one of those mini to RCA adapters and put it out to yer tape deck, and put the songs in yer walkmen or on your newest mixtape. That would be ideal, anyway.

1-05-04

Happy 2004 from everyone here at Oxford Collapse Headquarters! We've been busy sorting a lot of stuff out for the past month or so. Our album will be coming out in America April 13th. We are going on a mini tour for a few weekends in January, as we finally made the plunge and invested in a monstrous 1991 baby blue Chevy Conversion Van, which we can't wait to have break down in the middle of the night as we drive through Monument Valley, Summer '04! It looks like we'll be going to the UK now in early April, for a week or so.

We spent the weekend recording a few tracks for an upcoming 12-inch single, which could be coming out as early as March! Check the site for updated photos - including the first with our mysterious new bassist.

11-30-03

Our new site has finally arrived. Thanks to Mike Henry for making it happen. Last week we played a fun show at The Coral Room with Franz Ferdinand and Palomar. We had to re-schedule our appearance at Sarah Lawrence College due to a scheduling error, so we will be there Friday, December 12th. We will then be at North Six on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd with pals Knife Skills, The Fugue, and The Holy Wars. Our short January tour is also coming together nicely; we're really looking forward to it.

Kanine Records will be re-releasing our first ep in the next few weeks or so. This time it's going to feature an extra song....look for it in the dollar binz...Happy Thanksgiving!

11-06-03

Sorry for the complete lack of updates. We are about to renovate the website in the next week or so, so neglect has been in order. We've played some fun shows in New York recently, and we are playing next Saturday (November 15th) at the Coffee House at Sarah Lawrence College with Emperor X. Our next NYC show is Friday, Nov. 21st with The Stills and Franz Ferdinand. It's at Plaid, on 13th Street. We go on at ten.

We finished mixing and mastering our record, which looks like it will be coming out in mid-April, and it looks like it will see the light of day in the UK, possibly in August. We are planning a ten day tour the second week of January, from Boston to Georgia. We are going to London for a week or so in March for some shows, and then it gets serious in June when we go out to the US for a month, and then back to Europe again.

09-17-03

Forgot to mention: we will be appearing on the television program The Goomi Express this Thursday. It appears on MNN (channel 57) in the city. You can also hear our live radio show archived here.

09-15-03

Hello all. We're in the process of finalizing everything with our album, though we are considering re-recording the entire damn thing with live intstruments. We also have a bunch of shows coming up, including the first this Saturday, at BQE. It's a secret show, because we haven't played in awhile, so we'll be performing under the name Hornets Attack Victor Mature and playing songs exclusively from Fables of the Reconstruction. We will also be debuting our reclusive new bassist, Michael Henry, and his amazing Rickenbacker.

Coming in the next month or so we are going to revamp this website to be a totally 1995 shitty html text only site. Check the shows page!
